Pastor Steven Furtick Building $1.6M Mansion
Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church in North Carolina is apparently upset that some news reporter has been ‘sniffing’ around trying to dig up information about a $1.6 million mansion he is building.
This video excerpt below from a recent sermon of his shows that Furtick categorizes this upcoming news report as some kind of attack “on the church” by a reporter who apparently “doesn’t like the church.”

I guess these verses must have slipped his mind when he was signing the contract.
And it does appear that Pastor Steven has found about 19+ acres of good soil on which to build a 16,000 square foot superstructure..
Except, the only ones who will be able to tromp that good soil and use that domicile are the Furticks. He is building himself a 16,000 square foot “cottage” in which to contain his larger than life personality – a tall order indeed.
By now, most attendees of Elevation Church are aware the Pastor Steven “Hey Haters” Furtick is miffed off. He attempted to address the matter last week (9.29.13) in his sermon. (Go to the 31 minute mark) .
He says he is being scarred by an investigation into his lifestyle. Oh, the pain of suffering for Jesus…
He says the house he is building “is not all that great!” 16,000 square feet on 19+acres of land is not all that great? I do not know what is going on over in Charlotte,A 16,000 square foot home, is a little smaller than Elvis Presley’s Graceland mansion. Perhaps the majority of people in Charlotte and at Elevation Church have domiciles in excess of 16,000 square feet. If so, we send our condolences to Steven for having to slum it.
Furtick’s 16,000 square foot house in Weddington, has 7 ½ bathrooms, according to building permits, which put the contract value of the house alone just shy of $1.4 million. The land cost another $325,000, for a total cost of more than $1.7 million.
He said he is building it with the money he got from his books.
Really?
We recommend that you all take a close look at that remark and ask questions. And, while you’re at it, why don’t you ask how much money he is being paid by the church? The fact that Perry Noble is on his “compensation” committee should raise a red flag or two. Furtick seems to be channeling his good buddy, Ed Young Jr., who has been the subject of investigations himself.
Over at Lakewood Church, Joel Osteen proclaims,”It’s God’s will for you to live in prosperity instead of poverty.” The pastor of the Houston megachurch and wife Victoria certainly practice what they preach.
The couple has moved to a $10.5 million mansion in River Oaks, while keeping their former Tanglewood residence, valued at $2.9 million.
They are, however, selling a vacant lot next to their former home. Asking price for the half-acre property at the corner of Doliver and Sherbrooke: $1.1 million. Martha Turner Properties has the listing.

One can only assume that for Furtick and so many others, Jesus offer of the Father’s many mansions doesn’t quite make the grade!

You might want to check your facts. I believe it’s an estimated 1.6m home not 16m. Still too much considering it’s on 19 acres that’s taxed at a worth of 1.7m that he supposedly got for $325,000 (donation?). He’ll make bank off the extra land some day too.
