Worship of Mother Earth!@?
I came across this picture which is the “Oath” or Mission Statement” for these concerned and sincere young women who are part of Sisterhood NYC, (an offshoot from Hillsong Colour) but my eyes were a poppin when I read this plaque.
“A Declaration Ultimately concerned for the Welfare of the World and HER Inhabitants??”
This reads like something from the United Nations Assembly, or the World Council of Churches!
Do you love the reference to Gaia?
In Greek mythology, Gaia from Ancient Greek]\, “land” or “earth”;also Gaea, or Ge) was the personification of the Earth, one of the Greek primordial deities.
Gaia was the great mother of all: the primal Greek Mother Goddess; creator and giver of birth to the Earth and all the Universe; the heavenly gods, the Titans and the Giants were born from her union with Uranus (the sky), while the sea-gods were born from her union with Pontus (the sea). Her equivalent in the Roman pantheon was Terra.[3]
Obviously by the tone of these action conventions, they have all the hallmarks of being run and co-ordinated by Bobbie Houston, Hillsong’s pastor ….
Mother Earth/Gaia:
(The following is taken from a New Age Website – notice the striking similarities to the above Sisterhood Declaration)
Mother Earth is the sentience or soul of our planet. A sentience is that which is conscious or aware of itself and its purpose. A sentience is more like an emotional response and less like an intellectual process. Gaia sentience (or Mother Earth) animates the planet, gives it purpose and makes life on Earth possible. Our past is deeply rooted in the earth and our future depends upon our ability to recreate a relationship with our sentient planet.
We hope that you will accept Mother Earth’s invitation to open your heart and change the world by honoring all moments with respect, partnership and peace.
