MIDDLETON (WKOW)– A Middleton church is taking a unique approach to telling the Christmas story, with a Star Wars themed pageant.
Middleton Community United Church put on the performance Saturday evening. Organizers say it’s a great way to engage kids in the traditional holiday story. And just as Star Wars is a story about the dark side of the force and the light side of the force, the Christmas is a story about the light of God coming in to the world.
“What we are trying to do is kind of take the story of the Magi, and those are the star troopers, those are our Jedi knights, and they’re on their way to discover a new light that has come in to the world,” said Laura Crow, the church’s director of faith formation. “God has placed a new star in our world.”

Yes……excellent more mass entertainment. The gospel has lost its appeal, so with a bit of ingenuity, and creative license we will try and draw a crowd.
Indeed the church has gone over to the dark side, and a new light has come into the world. But which light are they following??

I would rather have the Lord’s birth conveyed at the wrong time than magi dressed in stormtrooper costumes I think…….
Well to God himself they are both wrong. He never asked any christian & any church to celebrate his birth at the wrong time, and in what is a pagan feast. He gave us all his own feasts in the bible, that christians world wide refuse to celebrate. Because they would rather follow tradition instead of truth. A pagan tradition that was brought into the church via the catholic church. Can not understand how christians can accept this pagan tradition of the catholic church as gospel, and believe God is ok with it,if they know the catholic church is wrong in its other doctrines. Both the star wars in a church and christmas is apostasy. We base that on the bible itself. And God told the Jews to have nothing to do with paganism. Yet somehow the christian church at large believes God changed the rules for us christians,and that he is ok about us celebrating christmas,easter and every other pagan feast the world celebrates. Trouble is no where in the bible, does God give any christian permission to do so. Such a bad witness to the atheists, pagans and Jews especially when christians adopt pagan feasts in honour of God, and rave on that Yeshua/Jesus is the reason for the season. When he never was, never will be ,and its highly offensive to him to celebrate his birth at the wrong time in a pagan feast. No wonder Jews cant see Yeshua as their Messiah. When christians have westernised,romanised and paganised him and his birth,death and resurrection, and simply taken his Jewishness away. The Jesus in the church is not the Jewish Messiah of the bible . Because the Yeshua of the bible has his own feasts that he ordained. They are not Jewish feasts. They are called the Lords Feasts. And its why we wont belong to any church, or watch any church service on the computer ,who celebrate a pagan feast in honour of our Holy Righteous God.Because satan got the christian church to do away with the real biblical feasts in honour of Yeshua, and he got them to accept, and celebrate pagan feasts instead. And whilst christians think they are honouring God at christmas and easter, its really more important about what God himself thinks, and what he himself calls sin and pagan. And God has not called any christian to honour him in a pagan feast ,when he already had his own feasts to begin with. So again God is against both things Lance, and both celebrating christmas, and star wars in the church are sins to God. And one is no different a sin than the other.
