The Lord ‘predicts’ and tells the disciples there will be wars, famines, pestilence not as something for us to observe as idle curiosity, but rather he has seen centuries before to instruct and comfort us.
His sovereignty is a very high and lofty doctrine.
We see the Lord was betrayed by Judas and how Pilate acquiesced and gave in to the religious leaders and the crowd.
But both men are accountable for their involvement and their subsequent sins and denial of the Lord.
Israel may be back in the promised land and God is guiding and is involved in their future, but things are more complex than that?
What of the Palestinian Christians caught up in the war, between Palestine and Israel?
What of the many 1000s of Syrian Christians who have fled their towns and villages with nothing, to flee and to escape ISIS?
Israel does not remain innocent from a lot of these crimes.
