As far as I know this is the sign of alert to the people of Mashad, Iran that coming days might be hard so be prepared to fight any circumstances. Imam Reza (a) shrine is the center of attention and respect to all living in Iran & so any major announcements are done there.

I live new a Military Base here in my city. When Israel was first hit about a week ago or so, I noticed a flag was flying at the bottom of the flag pole. Not too sure what symbol was on the flag. Not too sure what it means when a flag was flying that low on the pole, I did a little research, but didn’t find any info.
