Hillsong Church Pastor Endorses Marxist ‘Black Lives Matter’
September 29, 2016
Hillsong NYC Pastor Carl Lentz has once again stirred up controversy, this time by publicly identifying with the Marxist-inspired ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement, and not saying ‘all lives matter’.
In a Facebook post made within the past several days, Lentz states:
“At THIS church, we are not saying ‘all lives matter’ right now because this is a logical assumption that most reasonable people agree with. All lives are not at risk right now. We ARE saying BLACK LIVES MATTER. Because, right now, black lives apparently are worth LESS on our streets. It’s “our fight” not “their fight.” – Carl Lentz
One has to question the validity of a church and it’s pastor endorsing an anti-American and racially divisive group such as Black Lives Matter.
THE COMMUNIST ROOTS OF BLACK LIVES MATTER
According to Accuracy in Media, Black Lives Matter launched in 2013 with a Twitter hashtag, #BlackLivesMatter, after neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman was acquitted in the Trayvon Martin killing. Radical Left activists Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors and Opal Tometi claim credit for the slogan and hashtag. Following the Michael Brown shooting in August 2014, Dream Defenders, an organization led by Working Families Party (ACORN) activist and Occupy Wall Street anarchist Nelini Stamp, popularized the phrase “Hands Up–Don’t Shoot!” which has since become BLM’s widely recognized slogan.
Garza, Cullors and Tometi all work for front groups of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO), one of the four largest radical Left organizations in the country. The others are the Communist Party USA (CPUSA), Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), and the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism (CCDS). Nelini Stamp’s ACORN—now rebranded under a variety of different names—works with all four organizations, and Dream Defenders is backed by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the ACLU, the Southern Poverty Law Center and others.
HILLSONG DANCING WITH CONTROVERSY
It should be perfect material for the myriad of satire websites that abound online. The story of New York’s Hillsong Church having a performance during a Christian women’s conference of the iconic Times’ Square Dancing Naked Cowboy drew reactions from “That has to be fake”, or “The rumor mill is running”.
Not only is the story itself absolutely true, but the entire story revealed even more about the state of the Babylonian church in America.
Hillsong NYC is part of an international church movement that has congregations in the “world’s hippest cities” ― places like London, Paris, Stockholm, Barcelona, Cape Town and Buenos Aires.
Hillsong produces its own wildly popular music that is used in churches across the world. Its own worship services are known for their trendy, rock concert-like ambiance.
Hillsong recently launched a 24 hour a day televsion channel in cooperation with Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Shocking to hear your position on Black Lives Matter. BLM is absolutely not a so called “marxist” organization. Have you not seen African Americans gunned down on the streets of America for doing absolutely nothing wrong? As a Christian ministry, why does this not bother you? I know people personally who have been stopped and harassed by law enforcement for absolutely no reason. I know fellow Christians who love the Lord like you and me, who have had guns pulled on them for no reason whatsoever just because of the color of their skin. That is all….sir….that BLM represents. Nothing more, but a movement of people who are frustrated with being unfairly treated, killed, and harassed and profiled for no reason whatsoever. Jesus would never condone racism, and those who unfairly treat their “neighbor” with malice, will be judged. I am a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ created each and every one of us. James 2:4 describes those who discriminate as “judges with evil thoughts.” Instead we are to love our neighbor as ourselves (James 2:8). I am not apart of any BLM movement, but only apart of the Jesus movement as a follower of Christ. Please do not “judge” this man of God with Hillsong and label him negatively because he has the heart of Christ by empathizing with his fellow brothers and sisters whom he feels is being singled out and being treated unfairly.
