My brother’s roommate in the year 2020, his job was to pick up cattle by the truck loads to be slaughtered due to this so-called Corona Virus, none of it could be used for human consumption. He did this job for maybe 1 1/2 years.
I had read also, that in the U.S. farmers were ordered to destroy their crops.

Covid-related slaughterhouse shutdowns in the US are leading to fears of meat shortages and price rises, while farmers are being forced to consider “depopulating” their animals.
At least two million animals have already reportedly been culled on farm, and that number is expected to rise.
